Description
Lung cancer is caused by the growth of cells uncontrollably in the lungs. Small cell lung cancer commonly arises in the lungs and also found in different body sites like the prostate, cervix. Some major symptoms include chest pain and coughing. There are two types of lung cancer i.e., small cell lung carcinoma and non-small cell carcinoma. Small cell lung cancer grows very fast as it has early development of metastasis. There are two stages of small cell lung cancer which include the limited-stage (LS) and the Extensive stage (ES). Risk factors that arise from small cell lung cancer are any current or past history of smoking and tobacco consumption and any family history of lung cancer.
