Description
After diagnosing prostate cancer, the doctor figures out the stage of prostate cancer i.e. the body parts in which it has spread. It can be done by conducting lab tests. There are two types of staging system for prostate cancer which includes clinical staging and pathological staging. Under clinical staging, the doctor conducts lab tests, PSA testing, prostate biopsy. Also some X-rays, CT scans,s and MRIs are also required. The information gathered in the surgery consist of pathologic staging of prostate cancer.
